Revathy
Revathy J. S. is a Dubai-based artist, art educator, and founder of Learn Art with Reva, a creative platform built on the belief that creativity has no age limit and that everyone deserves the opportunity to explore art, regardless of their background or experience.
From a young age, Revathy was deeply drawn to art and creativity. However, like many children from middle-class families, academic achievement was prioritized over artistic pursuits. Although she dreamed of learning painting, the opportunity never came, and she grew up carrying her creative aspirations quietly within her.
At the age of 23, she finally picked up a paintbrush and began teaching herself. Without formal art training, mentorship, or support from the art community, she navigated her journey through persistence, experimentation, and a genuine passion for creating. Along the way, she faced skepticism from those who questioned whether art could become a meaningful career or provide a stable future.
Today, her workshops welcome children, teenagers, adults, and seniors, encouraging them to explore their artistic potential with confidence and curiosity.
Deeply inspired by spirituality, mindfulness, faith, and personal transformation, Revathy’s artistic style combines expressive textures, intuitive brushwork, abstract elements, and meaningful symbolism. Through original artworks, commissioned pieces, workshops, and community initiatives, she explores themes of healing, resilience, emotional growth, and inner peace.
Her mission is to help people reconnect with their creativity and discover the same sense of joy, healing, and self-discovery that art brought into her own life.
Her message is simple: it is never too late to start creating.

Upaya Special Edition
Created live during the Upaya Prelude in Dubai, this acrylic painting of Green Tara was completed as a spontaneous expressive performance on a 60 × 60 cm canvas. The work captures a living moment of presence, intuition, and emotional flow, where movement, color, and spiritual symbolism merged through real-time creation.
Green Tara, in Buddhist philosophy, is a highly revered female bodhisattva representing fearless compassion, healing, protection, and swift response to suffering. She embodies the active expression of compassion not passive observation, but immediate, conscious action rooted in awareness and wisdom.
The painting resonates deeply with the essence of the Upaya Festival, where “Upaya” means skillful means the ability to respond to life with awareness, adaptability, compassion, and wisdom. In this context, Green Tara becomes a natural symbol of that philosophy: responding to fear, emotion, and transformation with clarity, courage, and compassionate presence.
