Originating from West Africa, the Djembe is a goblet shaped hand drum traditionally used in ceremonies, storytelling, meditation, and communal celebration. Its name comes from the phrase “Anke djé, anke bé” meaning “everyone gather together in peace.”

This special edition features the sacred Gye Nyame symbol, an Adinkra emblem from Ghana that represents the supremacy, omnipotence, and uniqueness of God. It reflects a deep spiritual belief that no one exists or rules except God, bringing a powerful symbolic presence to the instrument.

Crafted from carved hardwood, natural goat or calf skin, iron tuning rings, and hand tensioned rope, each drum carries its own organic texture and resonance.
